Boys Behind Bars

Not our best video work, but a snaphot in to the lives of three little boys who will grow up to be great friends - Wyatt, Ang and Malcolm.

Visit From Kristin and Ang

This weekend Kristin and Angelo traveled all the way from Boston to attend a conference and visit. I had the pleasure of watching Ang one day while she was at the conference and it is true what they say, he is an easy lil guy. Wyatt loved the company - he loves an audience - and has been asking "where's Kristin and Angelo" since they left. Hopefully they'll come back soon. We did lots of hangin around the house cooking dinner and drinking beer, as it seemed that inevitably one of the kids was always asleep. One evening we ventured out to the wine bar where Wyatt, my little noneater, proceeded to tell me repeatedly that he LIKED monchego cheese. What was I thinking that I haven't tried it on him yet...of course if you eat nothing else you probably eat that (oh and he also likes popcorn and water.) Anyway, I bought some so, we'll see how much he likes it. At the wine bar I also met another mom named Penny who has a son named Wyatt (one week younger than bear) and lives in our neighborhood. Weird!

He even drives like papa...

Here's Wyatt at the Sonoma County Fair...he spent the day going from ride to ride - Dune Buggies, Jeeps, Airplanes, Canoes, and the dreaded Fun House.

Villa Terra Bella

We all spent the past few days at a cottage in Sonoma...Wyatt had fun touching the pool, and also went for a swim. After a day in the sun everyone hung out on the couch as Wyatt and Malcolm ate popcorn from a measuring cup.

Eggs

Wyatt's friend Lucy has chickens in her backyard - yes, here in San Francisco. We visited the chickens when they were just babies and Wyatt loved them. Last time we were at Lucy's house and Wyatt saw the chickens he asked, "Where's the Chinese chickens?" (a reference to his favorite dish at Panda Express in the food court in the mall) Well we returned to Lucy's house again this weekend to collect eggs and feed the chickens while she is out of town.

Bang Bang

As if the construction in the basement wasn't loud enough, Wyatt has taken a real interest in "helping" build these days. He bangs furiously with his hammer and has even been denting the walls a bit. We now have a new rule, no hammering on the wall, that he is wrestling with. Its pretty difficult for him since we've told him that what is going on in the basement is that they are building walls so naturally that is what he is doing too - building walls obviously requires some amount of banging with his hammer on the walls. Its hard to fault him for that! So now we tell him they are making rooms down there. Here he is making a room for Gissela.

Firsts

Our trip to LA was full of firsts: Malcolm's first plane ride, Wyatt and Malcolm's first ride on a sail boat, Wyatt's first time seeing dolphins in the wild, our family's first brush with death at 30,000 feet (see family member for details). All in all a fun trip and good to be back on the ground. I think we all liked the dolphins best.

I'm really not sure where to begin describing this video...you're just gonna have to watch it and see why.

New Haircut

Looks like Lacreeeeecia (my secretly wanna be a hairstylist alter ego) paid Wyatt a little visit. He wasn't happy about, and certainly looks less like the little rock star playing his guitar, but still looks pretty cute nonetheless.

4th of July Fun

We spent the 4th in Dolores Park at a BBQ. Here are Wyatt and Malcolm with their deputy badges on, thanks to local cops who said they needed a little extra help keeping the party under control.
