Taco Bell

This one requires an explanation. During the World Series Wyatt heard a commercial for Taco Bell that said if someone steals a base during some inning, Taco Bell will give away a free taco to everyone in the country. Well, someone did steal a base and without hesitation, Wyatt began insisting that we go to Taco Bell for the giveaway. I agreed, thinking that by the time the big day rolled around he'd forget all about it. To the contrary, he began counting down the days till Taco day and, on the big day, it was clear that he had not forgotten. As soon as I picked him up from school he insisted we go to Taco Bell immediately. Little did I imagine that there would be a huge line for free tacos. So, yes, we waited in line for a free taco at Taco Bell. He LOVED it! In fact, I ended up having to buy two more. He and Malcolm both gobbled those tacos right up. He has asked to go back a few times since but, as you can imagine, we haven't made it back yet.

Happy Halloween

Go Bees!

Malcolm's pre-school soccer team - the Bees. It took him a little while to warm up to the idea, in fact he completely refused to participate in the first game, but once he gave it a chance he started to have a great time. He ended up the season scoring a goal! So proud of that lil Moosey.

Pumpkin Project

This year Keets and I did a Halloween craft project - pumpkin making - in Wyatt's first grade class. The kids had a great time and the pumpkins came out great!

First Grade

Pumpkin Picking

The highlight of every pumpkin picking trip is the hay maze. This year was no exception. We practically had to drag them away from it in order to get a pumpkin.

Hardly Strictly

This year Jason had to work so I took the the boys to the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival with their buddies Julia, Kenzie and their dad, Scott. We had a great time, though I think we could have kept them more entertained if we were a little bit closer to the stage.

Forts

We love to make couch forts or, as the boys call them "cubby holes.

Malcolm's Favorite Past Time

Ever since he was a baby, Malcolm has loved to stack things. His latest obsession is stacking plastic cups and, given the chance, he would spend hours doing it. Jason calls it is "frat boy training." Now if we can just figure out how to get him to clean them all up again...
