Who's Who

Can you guess which is Malcolm and which is Wyatt?

3 Weeks Old

Well, we've been holding our breath to get to the 3 week mark to see if Malcolm would turn fussy overnight, the way his older brother did. So far so good. He's remained his sleepy and smiley self, save for a few brief episodes here and there. It is amazing how different every baby can be. Despite his general good nature (it seems at this point anyway) he can certainly cry MUCH louder than Wyatt ever did as an infant.

Big Brother

Wyatt seems very proud of his new title "Big Brother." He reminds us a few times a day that he is going to be one - and we remind him that the arrival of Malcolm in our home means that he already is one. Guess he'll figure it out soon enough. He is being an amazing big brother. The other day Malcolm was crying in his car seat and suddenly stopped. I walked in to the room to find Wyatt rocking the car seat. He also has been saying that he wants to play trains with Malcolm and even laid one of his coveted match box cars next to him and said he cold play with it. Very cute brothers. Here they are playing trains with Gammy.

2 Weeks Old

Malcolm is two weeks old. He's proving to have quite the set of lungs on him, much like his brother did. He gained 1 whole pound in a week and a half, since his last doctor visit so, unlike his brother, he's quite an eater.

Heat Wave

Despite our efforts to rid ourselves of large plastic kid's toys, Papa couldn't resist getting WP a swimming pool during the recent heat wave. He loved it! Wish it would've been big enough for all of us to get in. As you can see, Wyatt has been very good about maintaining it since the weather has turned again.

Fast Friends

Dottie Mae and Malcolm at a B-day party. Malcolm has some catching up to do, despite being only 3.5 months younger. Well, at least his buddy Dottie will have his back on the playground!

Play Ball

The family heads to the ball park for Wyatt and Malcolm's first game. Wyatt loved it, especially the kid's batting area where he loved playing the outfield and chasing/throwing balls around. Despite all the fun, he refused to wear any giants regalia, including the nice jacket bought by Gammy - "no like it, no like it!" Malcolm, on the other hand, not so interested in the game, spent his sixth night in this world sleeping through it. Oh well, maybe next time.

Cutie Pies

This week we went to Picture People to get WP's two year portrait made. We couldn't resist getting Malcolm's 5 day old portrait while we were there.

Big Brother Is Watching You

Wyatt is starting to warm up to the idea of being a big brother. He has mostly ignored Malcolm since we brought him home - easy enough to do since he mostly just sleeps all the time. But today he showed some interest in him by including him in conversation by saying things like, "Where's Gammy and Malcolm" and he even blew him a good-bye kiss said goodnight to him. He is going to be a very good big brother.
