Boys in the Bath
One benefit of our temporary move to Gammy's house -- a new bigger bathtub that both boys can fit in.

This was a big "get stuff done around the house" weekend. Things got started early Saturday morning and went well into Sunday evening. We had a lot of things on the to-do list, and I couldn't have gotten it all done without some really big help from my buddy Wyatt. Here he is helping me build closet doors for his bedroom - notice he even wore his "tool" shirt.

Puppy Love
Wyatt has a first crush. Unfortunately the feeling may not be reciprocated. Not that Lucy doesn't like Wyatt as a friend, its just that he has been coming on VERY strong -- insisting on holding her hand, putting his arm around her, hugging and kissing her repeatedly, and acting like a fool in love around her. I am completely shocked by his behavior -- this is the kid who doesn't like to be touched (or to touch anyone) and wont even give up hugs and kisses for his parents. Love is a powerful thing.

Petaluma
Today we drove to Petaluma for a BBQ at Brian Marla and Olivers house. Wyatt, Dottie and Malcolm had a blast playing in the tent city (another yard sale score of Chuck and Mara's). Little Oliver seemed to enjoying kicking back and watching the big kids run around. It'll just be a matter of months before he's right out there with them!
Wyatt's Latest Obsession
Uncle Chuck (and Mara and Dottie) gave Wyatt his first skateboard that they scored at a local yard sale. He's been wanting one and talking about having a skateboard for a long time now. He loves it! He immediately jumped right on and started skating. He was even trying some "tricks" that I guess he's seen skaters do. He insisted on putting the skateboard very gently in the car himself and wouldn't let papa touch it. He's already talking about how he plans to go outside, with helmet on, first thing in the morning and start riding again.

Dinner With Friends
Sophie, James and William came over for dinner on Friday night. Sophie the gourmet actually made most of the meal. Wyatt and William have been friends since they were a few weeks old and, though we don't get together often enough, its fun to watch them grow and change over time. The busied themselves playing together nearly the whole time. Malcolm wanted to get in on the action but at times was also content sitting on the sidelines watching the big boys and waiting his turn.
Sharing!
Watching and waiting.
My turn!
Up too late.
