Out To Lunch
Today we got together with some friends from the mom's group for an impromptu lunch outing in celebration of MLK day. We were quite a site to see walking the streets with this gang. After lunch Malcolm was more than ready for his nap, despite the fact that we all wanted to stop for coffee and cookies. He rallied again at the end, with some help from Wyatt who loves to make him laugh. At the end of the afternoon all the kids joined in for a game of "monster" which consisted of running around chasing each other and growling.

Squaw Valley USA
We spent this past weekend in Tahoe with the Farrell family. The kids loved hanging out together and we managed to sufficiently wear them out with hikes to Donner Lake and downtown Truckee. The highlight was the trip up to the top of Squaw Valley on the Gondola - they'd never seen anything like that and are still talking about it! Luckily we hit it on an amazing afternoon and you could see for miles across the mountain tops.
Waiting for the bus
I told Lisa, our sitter, to feel free to take photos of the boys and days she is with them. This week when I went to upload the photos from the camera I found this welcome surprise. It appears to be a shot of the guys waiting at the bus stop on one of their many excursions. Its definitely an outing with Lisa because Malcolm will not wear that hat for me, Wyatt will not wear that jacket for me and neither will sit still long enough (much less pose for) a photo for me.
Playdate with Ellie and Kate
Ellie and Kate are the same age as Wyatt and Malcolm. We hadn't seen these gals in a long time and had a fun time playing at their house while the parents enjoyed mimosas and brunch. Malcolm and Katie chased after one another wrestling toys out of each other's hands and Wyatt and Ellie sat peacefully at the table for the longest time building towers and castles and cracking each other up with what appeared to be some "inside jokes."
